Small detail question
« on: March 04, 2007, 11:37:46 »
Hi,
I decided to delete the side marker lamps from my US spec 113 as long as it was being painted. My restorer asked a good question I can't answer.

Do the holes where the wiring bellows to the marker lamp leaves the headlight bucket need to get welded up or is there a rubber plug that fills that hole on the euro models?

MB sells nice rubber plugs (A 113 987 00 44)that fit a 20/21 mm hole. That would be neater than welding because when you weld on a surface, it shrinks and is difficult to do. It can be done so that the weld is invisible, but it takes a skilled person.
