230SL rear brake shoe part number please
« on: April 01, 2007, 06:00:56 »
Morning all,

Can anyone provide please with the correct part number for the rear shoes for a '67 230SL? Mine are in need of replacement and I have the following numbers:

From the shoes that are on there at present: R110 423 0708 (poss could be a 6 at the end vice the 8)

From MB 110 420 2620.

The problem is that my parts supplier's computer does not recognise either of the above numbers.

I've done a search and found some great info on doing the job, but no parts numbers. Very grateful if someone could pass on the correct number as I'd like to get it done this week.

Many thanks,

James

If it's any help, I just had the rear shoes on my 1966 rebonded at a cost of $200. I don't know what the cost would be where you are or if you wanted to go that route.

james,
I asked cheryl at K&K about rear shoes for my 66 230.
K&K does not sell new shoes but asked me to send them my old shoes to have them rebonded.

I believe that there are two options.  I had miss matched sets which I replaced with new ones from Millers.  Returned old ones for core credit.
Don't know #'s.

While I was at it I sand blasted the drums and refinished, they look great.

I bought some "rebonded" from Dan Caron (Benz Dr.) Traded my old ones as cores. I was not aware of any "new" ones.

Hello,

The parts numbers indicate that these are the same as a Mersedes W110 Chassis "finback" sedan.
