I'm told that part is still available, so don't be deceived by sellers on ebay who claim it's a "rare NLA part."

You can find them on ebay. No big deal they were offered as an accessory product and would not be on a build sheet. I got one with a 107.

Does that fit into the tire in the trunk?

The problem with the Mercedes-Benz spare gas jerrie can is it take up all the room in the tire rap. Now truthfully how many of you have run out of gas while you were driving your SLs?
I am sure they are nice, but come on how long of a drive do most of you take to run the tank empty?
