I have just purchased and received new Leather door trims for my 280 sl, my existing door trims have metal type pockets and I have received elastic type pockets with the new trim. Are the elastic pockets standard and if so can someone send me a photo of the door trim complete with elastic pockets.

As far as I know, the hard metal pockets are standard on all 230 and 250 pagodas as well as Euro model 280s. The US 280 has the pleated pockets you were apparently furnished. The supplier should be able to provide pieces to cover the metal pockets. It is what I received when I ordered new interior door panels. I had to contact the supplier who then sent out the pleated packets.

Thanks for your reply, I ordered a full skin of leather with the other components so I guess I will get the trimmer to re do the metal door pockets.
