turn signal and wiperswitch

Is there an easy overhaul ,it will not lock in the position I am turning. And I read European is different than the U.S. model. I have a 67 250 sl european model.

I believe the column lever switch is the same for USA and Euro cars. Euro cars have the "Passing Flasher" activated while USA cars have this function disconnected.

I worked on it today just cleaned it slightly lubricated it  and put it back together and it seems to work O.K..It worked fine before I took the car apart to repaint it. Now are there any rubber boots left to cover the turn signal lever.  And thanks for the info
