A walk around my 1964 230SL.
« on: April 13, 2008, 16:18:49 »
Hi all, I have been toying with this idea for a while and as I was out the other day with my camera and the  weather was perfect for photography, I thought I would give it a try.

You can see it here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgezIoay3JA

or go to www.youtube.com and search for 230SL Walk Around.

Please let me know your opinions, keep in mind I will be using a better location for my next attempt.
Also I am only an amateur and this is just a test, so any feedback is welcome.

Regards to all

Paul:

Enjoyed the "tour" of your car. To us left hand drive people, the car is a lttle reversed but nice to see.

I like how you broke up the "walk-around" with cuts to other shots and inserted graphics...very nice.

Now to take Paul's idea to the next step. We can all chip in and buy Paul a large turntable...he can do the next video without walking so much.

Thanks for your comments guys; yes a turntable would be nice!!

Earlier that day we had a few cars out for a photo shoot for the cover of an upcoming issue of the SA Mercedes Club magazine.

It was interesting in that we had three cars, one a modern SL (the current Presidents car) my 2nd gen SL and a Roundie that happens to be the same colour as my car.

So here are a few photo's for your viewing pleasure..... :)

This overcast day really brings out a much closer representation of the blue than on a sunny day.

Hope you like them.

Regards to all

Oh one more that I thought you guys (& Gals) might find interesing...

The W110 is owned by the current SA Mercedes club Editor Ad, hope you like it.

This photo was taken by Ad and I think it makes a very interesting one indeed.

This is by the river Torrens here in Adelaide.
