Here's one for 300 euro.  I could check some other sources.  Was there an english version, and if so are you looking for english?

Also here is the publication information, which includes the ISBN number.  Sometimes the ISBN is the easiest way to search; this book appears two authors and an editor:

Thévenet, Jean-Paul, Carrosserie passion: Paul Bracq (Besançon: Éditions d'Art J. P. Barthélémy, 1990). 258 p., illustrations (c), 26 x 34 cm, ISBN: 2950115861.

This book was available in French text only. When I have discussed with the publisher, they have indicated that a re-print (edition 2) would possibly be within their plans.

An original copy still in its wrapper is on sale on eBay at the moment. But not cheap!

Congratulations Mike!
Considering that only 3000 copies were printed and you got #440 the price wasn't bad.
Will we be able to see it at the next PUB?

Guys--I've been looking for any copy of this book for a very long time.  I don't think even Paul Bracq has any spare copies, as I've asked him.  I will call him today and tell him of my find purchase. (Thanks, Alfred for the link.)

I have full awareness of the cost of producing such books, and though many of you think it may have been expensive, it was (certainly in the new/wrapped condition) appropriately priced if not a bargain.

I had my contacts in Europe and the USA searching for this book for some time, and never got any hits...these were used and art book dealers.

And yes--assuming there is a PUB in 2011--I will bring it and allow those with clean hands to see it. :D

Maybe today--with your search and this one--they are appearing.  I began my search in 2006, and never found one for sale.  Plenty of references to them, etc. but none for sale.  I kind of gave up for a while, as nothing ever popped up.  It was not for lack of trying, that I can assure you.  Timing is everything.

Finally, yesterday my Paul Bracq book, "Carosserie Passion" arrived.

I do not read French (yet at least!) but did a casual look-see and it is a gorgeous book, richly illustrated with many photos and historic artwork of Paul Bracq.  An amazing compilation.  I will be spending some time with it this weekend.

I haven't been following this issue.  How do I obtain one?
Thanks,
Larry

Larry--

You don't.  The book was a limited edition, in French, published 20 years ago.  A few years ago I started searching for one and never found one for sale.  Then this thread came up with one listed on eBay, and I jumped on it.

JPMOSE (see his reply below) says he found one quickly.  I think there is one available on Amazon.Fr for 250 Euros, but then again I can't read the French listing.  None on eBay at the moment.  If you want one expect to pay in excess of USD $200 and you may have to cast your net worldwide.

Good luck.  I'm happy with what I bought!  Yes, I'll bring it to PUB.

If there was enough interest in the book how many copies would need to be ordered?  If this is even a possibility?

Too bad it's in French!  I have two cars designed by him - the Pagoda and the BMW E24 6 series...maybe the pictures will be enough...
