IMHO, this would be a mistake. The factory never offered a red canvas top. But I agree with the comments made here otherwise. You picked a gorgeous color combo. COngrats.

I am with you Larry, put on the color that you like if you are not going for a show pony.  You have to live with it.

I have just started the process of repainting my hard top Light Beige 181H (from 291H Dark Olive) to go with my repainted 291H Dark Olive 280sl.  I also have a set of hub caps to match.  The Light Beige Soft top looked good so have stuck with that color combo for hard top which was originally the Dark Olive but it did not look that good when on the car.

I was thinking of getting my car redone by O'keefe, and it would be great to see his work before i bite the bullit.

You were going to post some pics of the finished article.... any possibility of seeing some?
