A friend wants to sell me some combonation wrenches he inherited from a relative that he has no interest in. They are Metric sizes, 23mm, 24mm, 25mm, 26mm, 27mm, 30mm I think one or two others. I'm inclined to buy them because the largest in my tool box now is only 22mm but in reality I wonder if I will ever use some of the larger sizes on a pagoda, what is the largest wrench size I may need a combonation wrench for?

Well, if you need to adjust the length of your drive shaft, you'll need a 42 and a 46mm open end for the lock nuts on the slip yoke in the middle.  


I can't recall the size of the large nut on the King pin.  I think it's something like 22, maybe a 24.  Usually you want a socket for 24 and 27.

Offer him 20 bucks.  For that, they'd make good wall hangings.

Mark .... Buy them; you never have enough tools.  If you do any heavy work, they will be useful (sockets even more useful).  They will be needed for jobs like the repair of the front suspension/springs, rear differential support, rear trailing arm etc.

If they are American or German made then buy them.
