Fuel Gauge

I just stated up my car for the first time in about four weeks.  Everything was working as it should but now my gas gauge seems to be stuck in the empty position with no low fuel light indicator.  The sending unit is less than two years old.  What should I be looking for?

Found it.  Blown fuse.

Naaaa, if a fuse blew more would not work than the gas gauge would it?...

Well, given that Hauser himself stated that it was a blown fuse, it was probably the fuse. Of course, this assumes that backup light, brake light, etc, were all non-functional at the same time, and replacement of said fused fixed the problem.

So Michael's valid question remains: why did the fuse blow?

This happened to me a couple years ago, with the exact same fuse. Luckily, it has not blown again since. But I've always wondered why it blew in the first place...

It just proves that I can't read.  I read the thread three times before I saw him say 'found it, blown fuse".   I hope I read the BBB better than this, or I'm going to be in a lot of trouble next time I try to fix something...  :-)  Scott
