How do you get pictures in the post and not as an attachment?

In the upper right hand corner you should see a link/button: "FAQ" right next to the search function.
Click on it it on you'll see a table of contents:
"Uploading and inserting Pictures" tells you how to do this.

The original standard here was to use attachments. An attachment does not push message text to the right (an included large photo can be very pushy); attachment gives the viewer the option of looking or skipping the photos (by clicking the attachment link or not;) and not having photos download that you have already seen can save time on slow downloading computers.

When you upload the image, copy the link to the uploaded image.  Then select "insert image" (4th button from the Right) and paste the link between the img img.  BUT, Please downsize your pictures so they don't push the message text to the right as Richard says.  And also please don't post a lot of images in one post (my own pet peeve)
