After 2 years I finally have the '71 back on the road. I have owned the car since 1990 and the first 8 years were a blast. After an accident in '99 the car was taken down to bare metal, the chrome redone and then the problems started. The most recent was a fried wiring harness when the trunk light wire shorted out on the lid. Rhode Island wire supplied the harness and I slowly unsoldered and resoldered the connectors. New tires were added yesterday and off we went. Lets see how long I go before something new crops up. If all goes well the car will be used on a regular basis as a daily driver.
