Calendar
« on: October 07, 2008, 05:35:18 »
Seeing as many of us have tried in the past to get the Pagodentreff.de calendar, and a few of us likely have some nice photos of our cars perhaps deserving of Pagoda of the Month on our kitchen walls...

Anyone keen on doing a group calendar this year? I am happy to organise,  but a) need some photos and b) likely need some help (perhaps through the site) to get the photos up, viewable and voted on.

Alternatively, I could just be editor in chief and take the best of what's emailed.

I have no idea of costs - especially once shipping is factored in. A high quality not-for-profit venture, unless people think that a small fee should be paid to club coffers. A quick visit to the Kodak site has calendars for just under $20 each. That's likely the starting point cost-wise...

Open to thoughts as to whether only FULL club members need submit photos...

Over to you fellow forumites 8)

Let's see here.  Part of my days now, each day, is looking through what is amounting to hundreds of great Pagoda photos...hmmm...

I could throw this together in many versions...a spin off of the coffee table project.

Tend to agree, let Michael finish the coffee table book first. We've all spent lots of energy and creativity creating photographs for that.

Let's do a calendar when the photo book is done!

Hi, James -

After Michael Salemi's response was posted, my take was that perhaps you and Michael might have initiated some behind the scenes discussion.  Far from no interest, I think that many of us were waiting to hear how this might influence or be influenced by the separate Pagoda Book venture.

In any case it is a wonderful idea.  Who knows, we might be able to sell some to some of the more enthusiastic Pagodentreff members!  ;^)

I've sent an e-mail to Dimitri asking about the possible availability of a 2009 Pagodentreff Pagoden Kalender, but have not had a response yet.

In regard to the coffee table book. I have been travelling for many weeks and have lost touch a bit as to what is happening and what we are supposed to be doing.
Michael, are we to start sending you the photos?

Rob--do you check your email regularly?  I have been sending out updates periodically to the hotmail address you provided.  If you gave me only an "occasional" email address that might be the issue.

But yes, the "deadline" was 30-September and I'm still waiting for a bunch to come in.  Those that have already come in are looking fabulous--and there is a mix of new and old and existing photos, too.

Michael, yes I do check the email but have had nothing for weeks.
I will PM you another email address which seems more reliable. Rob
